The real burning question, is it safe to travel?

  1. Safety is in the eye of the beholder – what may seem safe to one person may not be safe to another. Instead we like to reference what our Government is saying – which at the time is avoid all non-essential travel (Level 3)
  2. You CAN still travel should you choose but you should be aware that:
    • You may have difficulty obtaining essential products and services
    • you may suddenly face strict movement restrictions and quarantines at designated facilities and at your own cost
    • your insurance may not cover your travel or medical expenses
  • HOWEVER, all our tour operators are now offering COVID insurance which WILL cover for COVID related medical emergencies / care when in destination and will also cover other medical emergencies NOT related to COVID. Each policy is different. These policies do not cover trip cancellation HOWEVER most of our tour operators have very flexible terms right now.

There are many countries that you can travel to that do not inquire a quarantine upon arrival. But before we explore where you can travel to, lets look at what the airlines are doing to ensure your safety.

For my American clients: Here is a list of what the airlines are doing to ensure your safety

Airlines are following - or exceeding - all guidance from the CDC to help contain and stop the spread of the Covid-19. All carriers have added layers of protection to help protect the passengers throughout their journey - from requiring facial coverings to enhancing the cleaning protocols, such as electrostatic and fogging procedures. Some have implemented new boarding procedures and reduced beverage service to limit interaction.

Most aircraft also have High Efficient Particulate Air (HEPA) filters, which generate air as clean as the ICU. (According to the CDC)

Here is a very interesting article talking about the safety of flying.

There are some destinations that do require a Covid-19 test (PCR) prior to departure.

Here is a small list of the countries that are requesting a PCR test.

A Negative Certification is needed for: 72 hrs prior to departure.

Greece, U.S. Virgin Islands up to 5 days prior to departure, Antigua and Barbuda, Aruba, Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Barbados, Colombia, St. Lucia, Turks & Caicos, The Maldives, Cyprus, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Turkey, North Macedonia, Serbia, Egypt,

French Territories: Cayenne, Pointe a Pitre, Fort de France, St. Denis, St.Maarten, Tahiti.

Just to Name a few :)

Countries you do not require a PCR Test:

Mexico, Croatia, Brazil, Tanzania, Kosovo.

So, the question is: Do you prefer to travel to a country that you do not need a PCR Test, prior to departure?
